Message from The Chair

It gives me great pleasure to announce our 2024 Board Members. We thank you all for agreeing to share your talents to take UMBA to the next level.

What started as the Reunion of Black Graduates in 1976 has transformed into the University of Michigan Black Alumni (UMBA), a volunteer-based organization that aims to foster communication, fellowship, and professional development of present and future Black Alumni of U of M. From very few to the tens of thousands of us who have since graduated from the University of Michigan, we are the largest living alumni body of any public university.
